More homes for more levels of incomes will be made possible through a watershed, cross-the-dais agreement by SLO County supervisors.
Creating more housing opportunities is “the most important issue in our community and certainly in our time,” District 3 Supervisor Adam Hill said, calling the initiative “serious progress forward.”
Supervisors John Peschong and Bruce Gibson worked on details of the plan for months with the Coalition of Housing Partners, a wide-ranging group made up of representatives from the SLO Chamber of Commerce, Peoples’ Self-Help Housing, the Housing Authority of San Luis Obispo, the Paso Robles Housing Authority, the San Luis Obispo County Housing Trust Fund, Habitat for Humanity, the Economic Vitality Corp. and the Home Builders Association.
