Panelists are local community members who broadly reflect diverse community viewpoints and who live in proximity to Diablo Canyon Power Plant (DCPP). Representatives from PG&E will be present to provide an update on the Diablo Canyon decommissioning project and to answer questions.

WHEN:

Wednesday, June 12, 2019.  The meeting is from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

WHERE:

San Luis Obispo County Government Center, 1055 Monterey St., San Luis Obispo.

WHY:

The panel held its first public meeting on May 30, 2018, announcing the adoption of its charter and outlining a schedule of meetings to gather public input to submit to the California Public Utilities Commission and PG&E as it develops plans for the future decommissioning of Diablo Canyon Power Plant. Having conducted eight public meetings, six workshops, benchmarking trips, as well as submitting its formal recommendations from 2018 to the CPUC and PG&E, the panel is now examining the effectiveness of its own role, function, and structure, and is welcoming the public’s input on this topic.
