MCSC WBC SBDC

The 2018 wildfire season was one of the most destructive and deadly fire season’s recorded in California history. Natural disasters can strike at anytime; the costs and consequences of not being prepared far outweigh the cost and time it takes to prepare ourselves- not only in terms of our families and homes, but also in terms of our businesses. At the heart of San Luis Obispo, are the thousands of small businesses that keep our central coast alive and thriving.

The MCSC Women’s Business Center (WBC) has taken strides forward to ensure that your business is prepared for all future fire seasons and other natural disasters native to California. The Women’s Business Center has been diligently working with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to host a ‘Business Continuity and Disaster Preparedness’ workshop at the Kinney, on June 18, 2019, from 8:30 am- 12 pm providing a continental breakfast included with $25 admission. This will be the first business continuity and disaster preparedness workshop in ten years.

MCSC WBC SBDCExperts from different organizations have been invited to speak on various topics including intro to business continuity, preparing your operations, insurance coverage, and financial and staff preparations.

Invest in your business’s continuity, network with local small business owners, and leave with the knowledge and resources needed to protect your business through disasters such as wildfires, floods, etc. For more information please contact the WBC at 805-595-1357, mcscorp.org, or email at ana@mcscorp.org.
