Heading into its 43rd year as a popular and highly anticipated community event, the Holiday Parade is a Downtown SLO winter tradition and will be held on Friday, December 7 at 7 p.m. This event is presented by Wells Fargo and brought to you by Downtown SLO.

This year, the annual Holiday Parade theme is “Vintage Holiday.” The event is one of the largest parades on the Central Coast, attracting thousands of spectators. The Parade features approximately 75 decorative floats, vehicles, marching bands, dancers and more.

Downtown SLO is seeking an artist or graphic artist with fine art skills to provide the artistic (fine art) component for the annual Holiday Parade poster. The poster is the most visible public element of the event, with several hundred being placed in establishments around the county. The poster art is also used on digital and print advertising for the Holiday Parade, signage and additional marketing efforts. There are two elements to the poster: art and graphics. Staff design the graphics element.
