noorTwo events will benefit the SLO Noor Foundation free primary, vision and dental clinics on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Vet’s Hall, 801 Grand Avenue, San Luis Obispo. First, the 2nd Annual 50 Shades of Color, Thrift & Consignment Store Fashion Revue fundraising event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Tickets for the fashion show are $30 for adults prior to the event, $35 at the door; children, $20 prior to the event, $25 at the door.

The 50 Shades of Color event includes a fashion show with clothes from local thrift stores and consignment stores, raffle, silent auction, finger foods, & no-host full bar. Special guest’s models include Dr. Nooristani, Founder of the SLO Noor Clinics, Dave Hovde & Matt Santamaria of KSBY, and Anita Shower, Miss Etiquette. Three trips to the Caribbean will be auctioned off, with another trip in the silent-auction to travel with Dianne Tuttle, travel agent and owner of Academy Travels in SLO.

Later, The Irene Cathaway Rhythm & Blues Band will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets for the band event are $30 at the door and includes appetizers from Giancarlos’ 5 Star Restaurant. This band packs the house and gets fans from Los Angeles to north of  San Luis Obispo County up on their feet dancing from their roots-based, soulful sound.

SLO NOOR Free Clinics, a 501(c)3 non-profit, provides free high quality, medical, (non-emergency) eye and dental care to uninsured adults regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, immigration or socioeconomic status throughout SLO County. Medical practitioners along with community and college volunteers give their time and expertise to all clinics. The clinics operate solely on donations from individuals, businesses, civic groups, hospitals, charitable foundations, and public grants. For every $1.00 donated, over $100 of free medical services are provided to the community.
