French Hospital Medical Center is pleased to announce a Diabetes Education Class to provide education and resources to those with the disease, those newly diagnosed, or those who would like a refresher course. The center, Arroyo Grande Community Hospital, and Marian Regional Medical Center are Dignity Health Central Coast hospitals.

This series of classes is designed for those with diabetes, family members and caregivers, and will cover a variety of topics. The objective of the class is to empower patients to better manage this disease. The education class series will be held on Monday, March 7, 14, and 21, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Urology Classroom in the Copeland Health Education Pavilion located on the FHMC Campus at 1919 Johnson Ave., San Luis Obispo.

These community classes will be led by registered dietitian Molly Wagman. The classes are free of charge, and are open to the public. Participants should plan to attend the ongoing sessions, and will receive follow-up support and education upon request. Individual support is available per request. Discounted meal tickets will be available for attendees at the French Café and reservations are not required.
