EDNA Contemporary Gallery recently acquired a new storefront in downtown San Luis Obispo. The gallery is home to contemporary abstract and representational paintings, photography and sculpture and will host a grand opening for the public on Friday, September 17 from 6-8 p.m. at 583 Dana St. Dan Curio from Moonshiner Collective will be performing an acoustic set on our outdoor patio.

“EDNA brings world-class artwork to the Central Coast, and our new space fosters a casual, fun atmosphere for art viewing,” said Director Sheryl Daane Chesnut.

“This event is already generating a lot of interest and response,” said bay area artist, Suzie Buchholz.

Many are enthused at the opportunity to listen to live music and view art in-person after a year and a half of this pandemic. Buchholz recently had an exhibition at Crocker Museum in Sacramento, California, which showcased her abstract oil paintings that have been lauded for their bright palette and joyful composition. Buchholz will be present at the event, alongside many other EDNA Contemporary artists. The gallery strives to be a point of connection for collectors, community and artists and to build art appreciation through personal relationships.
