The Human Resources Association of the Central Coast (HRCC) will host speaker Karen Gabler at their May professional development meeting. She will present “Hold My Job, I’ll Be Right Back: Handling Disabilities Without Disabling Your Workplace” on Tuesday, May 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Madonna Inn.

Each month, HRCC holds professional development meetings to discuss labor relations, legislation, cutting edge strategic planning options and employer resources critical to the success of doing business on the Central Coast.

With almost 24 years of experience, California employment attorney Gabler serves as an employment law expert for over 600 businesses of all sizes and industries.  She provides day-to-day advice to business owners, managers and human resource professionals by developing proactive strategies to enhance workplace productivity and avoid employment disputes.

Gabler audits clients’ employment practices to ensure strategic compliance with current laws, conducts training programs for management and employees, develops workplace policies and agreements to protect the employer, guides investigations of employee complaints and defends employers and managers against administrative and civil employee claims.

Gabler has been recognized as a Southern California “Super Lawyer” for the past five years, and has been named as a “Most Trusted Advisor” by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal and one of the “Who’s Who in Professional Services” by the Pacific Coast Business Times in multiple years.  In addition to her legal practice, Gabler has been an adjunct professor of employment law at the Pepperdine University School of Law and served as an officer or director of numerous business and civic groups.
