HumanKind Fair Trade celebrates four years in business in downtown San Luis Obispo.
HumanKind opened its doors in 2009 with a mission to provide vital fair income to artisans in the developing world by selling their Fair Trade products and telling their stories here in San Luis Obispo. As a non-profit retail store, HumanKind depends on dedicated volunteers and staff to spread the message of Fair Trade in our community.
Stop by the 982 Monterey St. location this Saturday July 27 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. for the anniversary celebration. HumanKind Fair Trade will be giving away coupons and gift certificates to show their appreciation for their customers. There will be food and drinks, plus live traditional Indian music by Kaesha Freyaldenhoven from 1–2 p.m.
HumanKind regularly showcases local and international fair trade goods through events such as Art After Dark and their annual Eco Fashion Show.
