Leadership SLO and the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce announced today a planned leadership transition, as Leadership SLO Executive Director Dan Rivoire concludes his tenure with the organization at the end of the year. This transition dovetails with SLO Chamber’s recent leadership change – the organization that oversees the Leadership SLO program – creating a natural moment for reflection and renewal.

With both milestones occurring concurrently, the Leadership SLO Board and SLO Chamber leadership agree this is an ideal opportunity to shape the next chapter of Leadership SLO’s evolution.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Dan for his years of dedication and his steady guidance he has brought to advancing Leadership SLO’s mission. During his tenure, he led strategic initiatives that launched the recurring donor program, the alumni engagement branding & barbecue, and elevated the annual graduation event into a signature alumni gathering that greatly enhanced the raffle success. His commitment to the five cohorts he supported as the Executive Director of the program, along with this deep respect for the Leadership SLO organization, has strengthened the program and helped position it for continued growth.

Leadership SLO remains strongly supported by the SLO Chamber Board and the Leadership SLO Board, who unified in their commitment to sustaining the program’s long-standing tradition of cultivating informed, engaged, and collaborative community leaders. Planning for future leadership and program continuity is already well underway, ensuring that the Class of 2026 (Class 34) will receive the same high level of support that has defined this program for decades.

We wish Dan Rivoire the very best as he works to complete his MBA and begins the next phase of his professional journey, and we look forward to the continued growth and impact of Leadership SLO in the years to come.
