Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast is bringing its advocacy event, ‘Standing With Youth,’ to Northern San Luis Obispo County, in hopes to inform local community members about the state of local youth.

This event will be held on Thursday, March 26, at 11:30 a.m., at BGCMCC’s Tom Maas Clubhouse, located at 3301 Oak St. in Paso Robles.

The organization encourages business leaders, policymakers and community officials to be a part of this luncheon event as the CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast, Maria Fabula, and fellow panelists, Paso Robles Joint Union School District Superintendent Jennifer Loftus and District 5 Supervisor Heather Moreno, discuss the landscape of young people across the county and the challenges they are facing.

“Every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed, and that requires a community willing to listen, learn, and act,” said Maria Fabula, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast. “‘Standing With Youth’ brings together leaders, educators and community members to better understand the challenges facing our youth today and to work together to create stronger pathways to opportunity.”

Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast hosted a previous ‘Standing With Youth’ event at its flagship Railroad Clubhouse in Santa Maria earlier this year in January. The event highlighted ways that the community could support opportunities for young people to develop into stronger, healthier future leaders.

‘Standing With Youth’ is sponsored by the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Central Coast Foundation.

All members of the community are encouraged to attend ‘Standing With Youth’ on Thursday, March 26. Individuals interested in attending can register for their spot online at SWYPaso.givesmart.com at no charge.
