Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast is excited to announce the launch of a new, high-impact after school program at the new Guadalupe Junior High School beginning with the 2025/26 academic year. This new site marks a significant expansion of the Club’s presence in Northern Santa Barbara County and underscores its deepening partnership with the Guadalupe Union School District.

The program will provide Guadalupe Junior High students in grades 7 and 8 with a safe, supportive and enriching environment after school every day. Club members will benefit from a wide range of activities, including academic support, STEM exploration, art, leadership development, physical fitness and social-emotional learning, all led by trained, caring staff.

“We’re thrilled to partner with the Guadalupe Union School District to deliver skillful, impactful skill-building and enrichment programming at the brand-new Guadalupe Junior High,” said Maria Fabula, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast. “This partnership ensures that more middle school youth in our region have access to the resources, mentorship and experiences they need to succeed in school and in life.” The new Club site will be led by Club Director Julia Ruiz, who has six years of experience running Boys and Girls Club programming in our area. Julia will lead a well-trained and enthusiastic team that will serve up to 40 youth daily throughout the school year.

The new program is free to participating families, thanks to the support of Guadalupe Union School District, local donors and foundation partners. Enrollment for the 2025/26 school year is now open and space is limited.
