It’s going to be a great event! A USO-themed BBQ Dinner with appetizers, drinks, live music performed by the Royal Garden Swing Orchestra, swing dance performed by Cal Poly Ballroom Dance team, a singing performance, WWII history exhibit, and raffle tables. All proceeds support our local Central Coast Veterans Museum located at 801 Grand Avenue, Suite 102 in San Luis Obispo, in support of keeping their history education programs and events FREE to veterans and community.

Included will be a short program about the museum with certificate presentation from the U.S. Library of Congress (LOC) to recognize the Veterans Museum’s significant contribution to the nationwide Veterans History Project, an LOC program through which our local Veterans Museum in San Luis Obispo has recorded over 500+ veteran oral histories primarily from Northern Santa Barbara County and San Luis Obispo County, preserving first person accounts of America’s veterans for future generations to access, research, and reflect on.

We hope you will help share about this event, and consider attending  the museum’s 21st anniversary, a Stars and Stripes Celebration Dinner on October 8th, from 3pm – 6pm, to be held at the San Luis Obispo Veterans Memorial Building (SLO Vets Hall).

This event is sponsored by Thoma Electric and Coastal Communities Physician Network (CCPN), with support from many generous hospitality partners and fundraiser sponsors to support the Veterans Museum’s continued efforts preserving and sharing history to honor and remember veterans from past and present.

Tickets are $75 each available for purchase online, or reserve tickets and mail a check. Purchase tickets, learn more, or make a small donation of any amount to the museum’s 21 Year Campaign: www.vetmuseum.org
