The MCSC Women’s Business Center of San Luis Obispo has announced their new Food Vendor Start-Up course is open for registration. The multi-part series is designed to teach participants the building blocks of starting a successful food related business. This course appeals to caterers, bakers, prospective restaurateurs and many other food enthusiasts hoping to build a career in the industry.
The curriculum is broken down into four workshops: market research, legalities and logistics, managing a business and operations. Specifics include choosing the best product offering, how to apply for a Cottage Kitchen permit and successful strategies for marketing and pricing your product.
These workshops will take place online via Zoom every Tuesday morning for 4 weeks starting January 21, 2025. While space may be limited, this informative series will give many participants the technical resources needed to bring their cooking and baking talents to the public by opening their own business.
MCSC Women’s Business Center is a local non-profit that provides technical assistance to help people grow or start small business. Through grant funding and private donations, the WBC is able to host informative workshops with industry experts and provide one-on-one business consulting to individuals, free of charge.
