The annual Central Coast Economic Forecast (CCEF) event, a preview of national, state and local economic trends from leading economists, will return on Friday, November 3, 2023.

The event will be held at the Alex Madonna Expo Center from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tickets and sponsorships are available now through centralcoasteconomicforecast.com.

The annual event will begin at 7:30am with a networking hour, followed by the program 8:30am-11:30am. Ryan Caldwell of Wacker Wealth Partners LLC will serve as master of ceremonies.

New to the program this year, an expanded local segment, featuring speakers Melissa James of REACH and Jocelyn Brennan of HRM Corp., to discuss key industry updates in our local economy.

Keynote speaker Dr. Chris Thornberg, founding principal of Beacon Economics, will present a thorough, insightful, and always entertaining analysis of the economy at the local, state, and national level. Dr. Thornberg will also provide a detailed city-by-city analysis of San Luis Obispo County with information not available anywhere else.

Additionally, the CCEF is excited to present another year of an audience favorite, “3 Minutes to Win It”. In this segment, five Central Coast startups will share their ideas and plans that challenge traditional business models. The audience will vote for their favorite company and the winner will receive a $5,000 cash prize!

“We invite and encourage our community members to join us as these regarded speakers answer today’s most pressing economic questions,” said CCEF co-chair Emily Reneau. “As the economy continues to change at a rapid pace, we feel it is more important with each passing year to share this essential data and analysis to help local business leaders navigate the current and future landscape.”

The CCEF continuously attracts more than 550 business and community leaders and has remained a very impactful event, providing attendees with relevant, actionable data specific to our region. Sponsors and attendees will be armed with information they can use to help predict how financial trends and demographic indicators will affect their business.
