Local insurance firm Morris & Garritano recently announced the addition of a new team member. Mike Poyntz will join its staff as a Risk Advisor.
This 10-year industry veteran is making the transition to Morris & Garritano after working with local insurance firm RL & Associates.
Poyntz will maintain his role advising his current clients without an interruption in service, now bolstered by Morris & Garritano’s comprehensive service offering and 125-year history. Morris & Garritano represents businesses in a variety of industries on the Central Coast. Poyntz joined the Morris & Garritano team at its Laurel Lane offices on February 14.
Poyntz graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in both Risk Management and Finance from Sacramento State University. He is a member of the Economic Vitality Corporation, Softec and the San Luis Obispo Chamber’s Ambassador Committee. Poyntz resides in San Luis Obispo with his wife, Erica, where they enjoy an array of outdoor activities from hiking to skiing. He looks forward to a long future on the Central Coast, protecting his clients and strengthening the community he calls home.
