dignity-health-300x92French Hospital Medical Center (FHMC) is pleased to announce the launch of its first mobile application, The Dignity Health Patient & Visitor Mobile App FrenchWay. This app is designed to help patients, employees, physicians, volunteers, and the community better navigate through our hospital facilities and connect to useful resources via one-click WiFi access. This launch is part of a 90-day pilot program for the mobile app. At the conclusion of the successful pilot program, the app is expected to be implemented at all Dignity Health hospitals.

WHO: Members of the media are invited to attend a special media day announcing the launch of the Dignity Health Patient & Visitor Mobile App. The app will be introduced and demonstrated at the event and accessible to members of the media. In addition, hospital and app administrators will be available for interviews, and there will be photo opportunities.

WHERE: Pacific Medical Plaza, Suite  105 (B)  on the campus at French Hospital Medical Center (FHMC), 1911 Johnson Ave.

WHEN: 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 17th.

WHY: The Dignity Health Patient & Visitor Mobile App called FrenchWay is a location-enabled mobile application now available at FHMC and built by Phunware and implemented by World Wide Technology (WWT). The app uses the Global Positioning System (GPS), Wi-Fi, and beacon technology to help patients, visitors, and others navigate through FHMC facilities. The app also puts a wealth of information at the user’s fingertips, including directions from a patient’s home to the hospital, information on FHMC physicians and services, an up-to-date news feed, special discounts and promotions at the hospital gift shop and cafeteria, and other resources.
