Novo Restaurant has passports to dine over a four-course prix fixe wine dinner of San Luis Obispo County flavors on Wednesday, June 7. Guests can anticipate a beautiful evening of al fresco dining on the creek side brick patio. The price of the dinner is $90 per person and includes four individually plated courses with wine pairings themed around different areas of our county; Santa Maria to Cayucos, San Luis Obispo, Cambria to Ragged Point and Paso Robles to Santa Margarita. Featured farms and wineries include Stepladder Ranch & Creamery, Kandarian Farms, Red Barn Farms, Pagnol Bakery, Cayucos Abalone Farm, Kiler Ridge and Happy Acres. Seats are limited to 30 and guests are encouraged to purchase early as a few seats have already sold.

“In Europe, food and wine pairing is fairly simple: ‘if it grows together, it goes together’; thewine produced in the region is a natural match for the regional cuisine,” said Samantha Payette, Novo Sommelier and Wine Director. “With our loca lagriculture being so abundant, especially in June, and the diverse styles of wine from our county, we have a whole lot more ingredients and food and wine combinations to choose from! I am really excited to showcase a couple of local producers who are making some really great, unique to our county. This dinner is taking the ‘if it grows together, it goes together’ food and wine pairing concept to a whole new level that is uniquely ‘SLOCal’”.

The SLO Passport Wine Dinner is the second of three theme dinners planned for the year.

The first, “The Silk Road”, took place on March 22 and guests enjoyed private reserved seating, welcome craft cocktails, chef and sommelier presentations, silent movie entertainment, and a parting gift to conclude the evening.
