RRM Design Group, a multidisciplinary design firm with offices in San Luis Obispo and San Clemente, recently announced the opening of a new office in Santa Maria. The office is located at 1862 South Broadway, Suite 100. The new office has opened in response to the firm’s continuing growth on the Central Coast, and also in response to Santa Maria’s diverse economy with many growth sectors such as technology, agriculture, commercial, energy and manufacturing.

The decision to locate in Santa Maria was a deliberate one. “Since our start in 1974, we have been working in Northern Santa Barbara County,” RRM Principal Jerry Michael stated. “We are very excited to now open our new office in Santa Maria to better serve our clients and become part of the community. RRM’s resume of public and private projects, matched with our design expertise of architecture, engineering, land planning, landscape architecture and surveying fits well with Santa Maria’s growing needs.”

RRM has strong roots on the Central Coast, as it was founded in San Luis Obispo by three Cal Poly students and a Cal Poly professor back in 1974. In the last 40 years, RRM has been involved in many notable projects in the Santa Maria Valley including:

• Santa Maria Downtown Specific Plan
• Allan Hancock College Library Media Technology Center
• La Vigna at Westgate Ranch
• Waller Park Sports Fields
• Rice Ranch
• Pacific Crest Estates
• Mission Creek Village
• La Ventana
