The San Luis Obispo Children’s Museum has reopened to members and the general public after being closed for more than a year due to the pandemic.

Two sessions are being offered each open day, Wednesday through Monday, 10am – noon and 2pm– 4pm. Reservations are required for attendance and can be made at www.slocm.org/reserve.

Memberships offer year-round visits and range from only $75 for two members to $175 for six. All memberships include discounts on guest admissions and special event invitations. Two levels include discounts at The Shop as well as reciprocal benefits, which allow guests to visit participating children’s museums for 50% off.

Guests are required to wear masks while visiting, and capacity limits are being maintained at 25% to ensure social distancing is possible.

The Museum is proud to have had its at-home art programs honored by the community in the 2021 New Times Best of SLO County reader poll. Staff created and distributed 2,600 Busy Boxes, filled with art and science activities, to local children. It also kept up an engaging online presence, bringing activities and explorations directly to kiddos stuck at home.
