The San Luis Obispo Fire Department wants to know where you see the city and its fire department in five years. SLO Fire is in the beginning stages of creating its first five-year Strategic Plan, focusing on where residents see the community in 2021 and the services they want and need to get there. The plan will also focus on aligning the department’s vision with community needs and the proper allocation of resources. Insiders report that the process to develop the plan will include at least two open community meetings and a short online survey to ensure that the plan is based on community input and feedback on the needs and wants of the community.
