SLO Classical Academy is proud to host William Deresiewicz, an award-winning essayist and critic, a frequent college speaker, and the best-selling author of Excellent Sheep: The Miseducation of the American Elite and the Way to a Meaningful Life on Thursday, March 7th.
As a professor at Yale, William Deresiewicz saw something that troubled him deeply. Some of the nation’s brightest minds were adrift when it came to thinking critically and creatively and finding a sense of purpose. Deresiewicz offers an alternative viewpoint that places value on education and individual development. Join SLO Classical Academy on Thursday, March 7th, 2019 from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Harold J Miossi Cultural & Performing Arts Center at Cuesta College to hear his perspective on education in America. Tickets can be purchases for $35 online. Beer, wine, and concessions included with purchase of ticket. For more information, visit sloclassical.org.
