cuestaCollege Community Programs presents An Afternoon Concert of Trumpet Music, featuring the San Luis Obispo County Trumpet Alliance, on Sunday, April 26 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, 962 Piney Way, Morro Bay. The concert, directed by Dr. Warren Balfour, benefits the United Cerebral Palsy affiliate Arts for Living. Donations will be accepted at the door.

Formed in 2011, the Trumpet Alliance promotes the rehearsal and performance of trumpet chamber music. This advanced group is comprised of local musicians who are educators, business professionals and retirees.

United Cerebral Palsy of San Luis Obispo County is a non-profit organization that supports children and adults with disabilities in San Luis Obispo County. Arts for Living engages persons with developmental disabilities in the community through inclusion in music and visual arts, developing skills for expansion of personal expression, group interaction and community connections.

Trumpet Alliance members include Jerry Boots, Bruce Knowlton, Rich Ward, Lyle Stubson, Steve Vines, Andy Harp, Rich Smucker, Dylan Weddle, Jim Kerber, Joe Montgomery, Barbara Wilson, Bob Bennett, Danny Beher, Ted Hamm, Curtis Bechtel, Robert Vesnaver and Jessica Cheda.

Music to be performed by the following composers: Eric Ewazen, Samuel Scheidt, Leroy Anderson, James Olcott, Bob Bennett, David Uber, John Phillip Sousa, David Marlatt, Isaac Albeniz and Brian Balmages.
