SLO Safe Ride is providing free water and donut holes to community members participating in downtown activities on St. Patrick’s Day for 2019. This is a part of SLO Safe Ride’s Living Responsibly campaign, which started six years ago and partners with local businesses to promote safety during drinking events.
SLO Safe Ride will be traveling throughout the downtown area on Higuera Street from 7 a.m. – 10 a.m. Their source of transportation: a surrey equipped with a sign labeled “Hydration Station.”
“The primary goal in participating in events such as St. Patrick’s Day is to make sure everyone involved is safe and responsible,” said Logan Spittler, Creative Director of SLO Safe Ride
Pacific Beverage Company is providing 100 water bottles to be passed out by SLO Safe Ride employees operating the Hydration Station. PBC has been a part of the Living Responsibly campaign since its creation, providing free bottled water for all charters that SLO Safe Ride services – weddings, wine tours, beer tours, corporate transportation, Cal Poly sports teams and more. SLODoCo will be donating 100 donut holes to be handed out during the morning as well, and has done so four years. SLO Safe Ride’s downtown van will continue service from 6 a.m. – 10 a.m., offering rides for $10 up to 14 passengers.
