The Wall That Heals is coming to San Luis Obispo County, on exhibit from March 16-19 at the Madonna Inn Meadows in San Luis Obispo and will be open to the public 24 hours a day, with free admission and onsite parking. This is the official ¾ scale traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, bearing the names of 58, 281 Americans who gave their lives in service to their country during the Vietnam War, with a Mobile Education Center honoring the 3 million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed forces in the Vietnam War.

This educational community event is proudly co-hosted by the County of San Luis Obispo Veterans Services Office and the Central Coast Veterans Memorial Museum, in partnership with The Madonna Inn and Legacy Village Wellness Centers, with support from Welcome Home Military Heroes, American Legion Auxiliary Post #423 Cambria, Rotary Club of SLO Daybreak, Guaranteed Rate, San Luis Ambulance, Coastal Peaks Coffee, Meyers Drilling, Pro Screen Inc, Connected Energy, and many others.

The San Luis Obispo Planning Committee is still seeking over 100 volunteers to sign-up for onsite shifts, assisting visitors while the exhibit is open to the public 24-hours. Please signup online if you are interested in volunteering at this event. No experience is needed, training will be provided.

The event is free to attend and accommodates all ages. Schools and veterans clubs/organizations are encouraged to register for free Group Tours before March 1. Accompanying The Wall That Heals is the Mobile Education Center presenting multimedia exhibits honoring and educating about the history surrounding the Vietnam War and photo tributes honoring veterans whose names are on The Wall, including the following:
● Hometown Heroes – Honoring service members whose names are on The Wall from San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Monterey counties.
